Robot developed by Company’s lawyers lands Renaissance Insurance among the top three for innovative legal work

The legal departments of leading Russian companies such as Rostelecom, Beeline, NLMK, Sibur and many others took part in Legal Insight’s “Best Legal Department” competition, which evaluated the work of company lawyers in 14 different categories. This year, Renaissance Insurance finished in third place in the “Innovations in Legal Work” category for its robot project.
The project created a new solution for the Company that automates the processing of incoming electronic documents from financial agents, maintains an electronic register of documents and stores them on a server.
The robot itself, which is the work of the Company’s Legal Department and the Centre for the Automation and Robotisation of Processes, used existing basic solutions from Lexema as a foundation. The Company’s lawyers developed it on their own, with little involvement from the IT Department.
